Marketing Director

Before co-founding April, Dale spent 6 years as Marketing Director at SDL Group - during which time SDL was named one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe by the Financial Times.

But his passion is for education, helping universities, schools and nurseries to show parents and students how their services can give children and young people the best possible start in life. Dale has held marketing positions at Repton School and the University of Birmingham, recruiting students from ages 3-83. 

Dale is passionate about helping all April. clients to achieve their goals through marketing, and takes a hands-on approach to supporting and delivering throughout every relationship.

The April. crest

Our values in education

When developing our approach to marketing in the education sector, we thought it made sense to create our own school logo, taking the elements of the April business and brand, and applying them to an education market. 

The 'school' motto takes inspiration from a real school motto that we remember from our youth - semper ad colestia, which literally meant always to the gods but was often simplified to just aim high. Adding in an April twist - springlike freshness and growth - led to volare sicut avis - meaning fly like a bird

Speaking of birds, the crest features four swallows, and three tulips - all symbols of springtime, freedom and growth.
