Why April?
You won’t be surprised to hear that April is my favourite month.
I love everything it means and all that it stands for. New beginnings, rebirth, freshness, blossom. Joy.
I’ve owned a really silly little red convertible for about 10 years now. It’s got barely any power, costs me a lot more than it’s worth, and gets plenty of laughs from my mates.
But my favourite day of the year is the first time I can take the roof down, put on some sunglasses and breathe in the spring air as I drive through the lush green countryside with my wife. More often that not, that’s early on in April.
Add to that, my birthday is in April - and so was our wedding.
But why name a business after it?
The other thing about April is that it’s always keeping you on your toes. An April shower is only ever around the corner. And in the UK (especially this year!) you’re as likely to see April snow as that beautifully sunny day I described earlier.
I can’t think of a better metaphor for business in general. You never really know what’s around the corner, and you really do need to keep yourself on your toes. I’ve always seen one of the most important roles for April. Marketing is in helping to keep businesses on their toes - always moving them forwards.
And we believe that April’s freshness, those new beginnings, and that feeling of the sun on your face and fresh air in your lungs - that’s what great marketing should feel like.
We want our clients to understand the joy we feel when we’re working on a new brand or a campaign. And we want their customers to feel excited when they’re choosing to work with their business.
So if you’re looking for a marketing agency that can help put a spring in your step, or freshen up your approach to marketing we’re probably not a bad one to chat to.
Hope that helps!
